The Energy Week has started at Toraighyrov University, within the framework of which a "round table" was held today to discuss the issue of nuclear power plant construction in Kazakhstan.

A member of the board - acting rector of Toraighyrov University, Nurlan Yerzhanov made a welcoming speech.

- The development of nuclear energy in Kazakhstan is a strategically important step to ensure the country's energy security and its sustainable development. The training of qualified personnel for the nuclear industry and scientific research in this area play a key role in ensuring long-term sustainability and security, - noted Nurlan Yerzhanov.

The reports were made by the Dean of the Faculty of Energetics, Olzhas Talipov, the Head of the Department of Electric Power Engineering, Vadim Markovsky, Associate Professor of the Department of Biology and Ecology, Alexander Ubaskin and Associate Professor of the Department of Law, Gulnar Shamshudinova.

 The issues of the role of nuclear energy in the future of the country, training of personnel for nuclear power plants and prospects for the growth of scientific potential were raised. In addition, issues of ensuring the energy security of the country and the use of peaceful atoms for the development of Kazakhstan were discussed.
