The annual international scientific conference “XXIV Satpayev Readings” was held at Toraighyrov University, which was dedicated to Kanysh Imantaevich Satpayev, an outstanding Kazakh scientist, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences, the first president of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.  The readings became an anniversary event for the 125th anniversary of Kanysh Imantaevich Satpayev.

Welcoming speeches were made by Vice-Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki; Deputy Akim of Pavlodar Region Aizada Kurmanova; acting  President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Serik Seidumanov; General Director of the Institute of Plant Biology and Biotechnology, Scientific Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kabyl Zhambakin, and granddaughter of Academician Kanysh Satpayev  , Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Alima Zharmagambetova.

 - Satpayev readings is not just a scientific conference.  It is a catalyst for new ideas and discoveries.  Many scientific developments were presented for the first time here, which subsequently found practical application.  It is gratifying that among the participants in our readings there are more and more young people and schoolchildren who use a scientific approach in solving problems of society.  Among the participants in the twenty-fourth Satpayev Readings there are those who propose absolutely unique projects,” noted the rector of the university, Yerkin Sadykov.

 An exhibition of scientific projects of schoolchildren and students was held at the university, where an unmanned device for cleaning outer space, an automated system for the protection of forestry, a useful auto gadget and more were presented.

 Following the results of the breakout sessions, the winners were awarded.  Scientific articles will be included in the annual collection.

 1,488 articles were accepted for the competition; in total, about 35 breakout sessions were held.
