A cabinet for inclusive education was opened at Toraighyrov University. The equipment for its functioning is provided: an interactive whiteboard, a slide projector, and a Braille writing machine.

 

 

The solemn ceremony was attended by the executive secretary of the Pavlodar regional branch of the Amanat party Aigul Malikova, the chairman of the Pavlodar NGO "Nur-Ana Alemi" Bakytzhamal Maksylova, and representatives of the Pavlodar Department of Employment and Social Programs.

Rektor of the university Yerkin Sadykov noted that modern education should be inclusive, with equal access to knowledge. "This inclusive classroom is not only a space for learning, but also a symbol of our desire to create an environment where everyone can fulfill their potential," he said.

It should be recalled that students with special educational needs study at Toraighyrov University. Two wheelchair students graduated last year. In total, there are over 60 students with disabilities at ToU, including 22 first-year students and one graduate student.

It is worth noting that the road map of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan indicates that by 2024, the coverage of the readiness of universities for inclusive education should be at the level of 60%, and by 2028 - already 100%.

In addition, all educational buildings and campuses of Toraighyrov University are equipped with ramps, special toilets, and widened door openings. The A educational building has an elevator and a vertical lift. In the campuses No. 2 and No. 3, there are specially equipped rooms for the comfortable accommodation of students with special educational needs. The university has courses for professional development on the problems of inclusive education. They are expected to cover 350 university lecturers.
