People's Artist of Kazakhstan Shakhimardhan Abilov presented an unusual performance of the monoopera "Tolyk adam, oy tolgau, Hakim Abai" at the Estay Palace of Culture. Akim of the region Asain Baykhanov attended the premiere of the monoopera.
"I was very impressed by the new interpretation of the opera. Each word is deep philosophy. Abai understood that the three main qualities a person needs are courage, a bright mind, and a kind heart. Today's monoopera gives a new sound to the legacy of the great thinker and is aimed at instilling human qualities in the younger generation, making them proud of their country, their history, and their people," the akim shared his opinion.
According to Shakhimardhan Abilov, a monoopera is a special format of performance, one of the rare genres on stage. Here, musical reflection and personal presentation come to the fore.
"Professor of ToU Shakhimardhan Abilov presented his vision of the famous novel by Mukhtar Auezov with the help of a one-act play of the same name. This is really a strong production that makes you think about your own spirituality and culture. This is precisely what the concept of our great ancestor "A Complete Man" is all about, which President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev recently addressed. Its essence is that reason, heart, and will make a person a mature personality. Abai considered cultural development to be very important," noted the university rector Yerkin Sadykov.
With his work, Shakhimardhan Abilov once again shows the versatility and greatness of the personality of Abai, who promoted the ideas of cultural development and spoke about the high value of education, spiritual growth above oneself. These ideas are supported at the level of the country's leadership.
