Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrived in Astana on a state visit.  He met with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and also took part in the signing of several cooperation documents, including a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan and the German Federal Foreign Office.

Thus, domestic universities receive new opportunities for the development of scientific activities and academic mobility of students.

- I must say that Toraighyrov University has been cooperating with universities and public organizations in Germany for quite a long time.  Our main partner in this European country is Anhalt University of Applied Sciences.  For the third year we have been co-teaching German for 1st and 2nd year students of ToU.  In addition, our teaching staff  visited the Anhalt University, and their teachers were our guests in Pavlodar.  Even our students got a benefit from bilateral cooperation – this year two students from Toraighyrov University went on an internship to Germany.  We have a lot of plans for further cooperation, and joining the efforts of the two countries at the highest level will only strengthen our ties with partners in Europe, - said Yerkin Sadykov, rector of the university.

 In addition, partner universities develop joint research projects and publish scientific results in foreign journals and journals published in Kazakhstan, including the series of journals "Bulletin" of Toraighyrov University.
