A roadmap for the implementation of the program "Strong University - Strong Region" was approved in Pavlodar region.  The document, which Toraighyrov University is working on together with the regional akimat, included 26 different innovative projects at once.

The roadmap was considered at a meeting of the regional scientific and technical council for the development and implementation of innovations.  As ToU vice-rector Nurlan Yerzhanov noted, the program of the university is focused on intensification of the development of the region economy on the principles of integrating science, education and production.  At the same time, not only Toraighyrov University, but also government agencies and enterprises play an active role in its implementation.

 - The program "Strong University - Strong Region" will accelerate the implementation of the Program for the Development of the Territory of the Pavlodar Region until 2025 and other projects of national importance.  The methodology for integrating the research activities of the university with the economic entities of the region is based on obtaining an order from regional government departments, large industrial enterprises and SMEs to conduct research and development work, Yerkin Sadykov said during the meeting.

Initially, Toraighyrov University offered 60 innovative projects for implementation at once in various industries.  Most of them were aimed at solving regional problems.  As a result, 26 projects were included in the roadmap.  But most importantly, both government officials and large industrialists and entrepreneurs are interested in cooperation with ToU scientists.
