1. Topics of scientific directions of the department 

The department conducted research in six research areas:

Development of fundamentals of logical education in high school. Head isDoctor of Education, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, corresponding member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan, Professor B.N. Drobotun The development of this theme is carried out:

a) 4 monographs published abroad (the Russian Federation, two of which have been published twice (2007, 2009). and two of which have been translated into the Kazakh language;

b) 2 textbooks, recommended by the Republican educational and methodological advice of Al-Farabi KNU and KazNTU after K.I.Satpayev for publication by assigning the stamp EMB REMB;

c) scientific articles published in Kazakhstan and abroad, and in the reports on the international and republican scientific and practical conferences;

g) 14 acts of implementations in practical training in mathematical sciences in higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan and Russia.

A significant contribution to the development of the subject make students and undergraduates enrolled in the specialty "Mathematics" under the leadership of B.N. Drobotun. In particular, the masters Muhamedzyanova N.I., Akhmetov R.T., Oralov E. Sh., Panasenko O.I., Eginbaeva N.B. and others. As well as students Yergali Z., Kusmanova M., Dzhusupova E., Zhanyspayeva M. Sarsenbayev D., Sadykova R., Temirkhanova ,D., Gaydak V. and others were awarded diplomas of 1, 2 and 3 degrees of international conferences held in the territory of Kazakhstan. In this area the students together with the head published  more than 30 scientific papers in various scientific journals of Kazakhstan and more than 25 reports of scientific conferences of international and national levels.

The result of this activity was the successful defense of 9master's theses and over 15 diploma theses. Total on the subject published over 150 scientific papers, including 4 monographs 3 training and 3 teaching aids.

Formation and development of ICT level - competence of teachers. Head is a doctor of pedagogical sciences, Professor, Department of Mathematics and Informatics Vasiliy Andreyevich Krivoruchko.

Professor Krivoruchko V.A. is the owner of the title "The best teacher of high school - 2014" (previously received a similar title in 2008), in May 2015 was elected a corresponding member of the International Academy of CONCORD (France). He is a member of the Scientific Council of the branch of JSC NCPD "Orleu" IPD Rt for Pavlodar region, an expert analyst of JSC  "NCSTI" from the PSU. Under the guidance of professor Krivoruchko V.A. Master’s student  Shpigar N.N. won the diploma of III degree and received the certificate of the participant of the Republican contest "The best renovated, the best new course program PC PR", "Best teaching materials for Short Course PC PR" held by JSC NCPD "Orleu" MES RK, Almaty, 2014

On the topic of the research released the monograph in France in English «Design of control and measurement of materials to estimate the ICT level - competence of pedagogical workers: monograph».

The development of the theory of comparison in groups. 

Head is a  Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences., Professor, Department of Mathematics and Informatics Pavlyuk Ivan Ivanovich. In  2012-2014 this project is sponsored by the Committee of Science of the budget program 055 "Grant funding for research» (state registration number 0112RK02319). The research on this topic is not only involved students and undergraduates of the department, but also gifted pupils of Pavlodar region.

Under the guidance of Professor Pavlyuk I. scientific projects of pupils and students were awarded prizes. So, in 2011, a student of the specialty "Mathematics" Navalikhina M. won the competition, held by the Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and awarded the "Gold Medal" for the best scientific project. Student of specialty "Mathematics" Zhanyspayeva M. was awarded the diploma of 3 degrees in 2014 for productive scientific report on the Republican student scientific conference, which was held within the walls of L.N. Gumilyov ENU. Pupil of 11th grade boarding school for gifted children of Pavlodar region Hertz Yu. and student 11th grade cadet of Cadet Corps named after Mohamed-Ali M. were awarded diplomas 1 and 2 degrees, respectively, for a scientific report on the International Scientific Conference “XV Satpayev readings."

Innovative technologies in education. 

Project head is a candidate of pedagogical sciences.  professor of PSU Assainova Almagul Zhayakovna. Subject of research is related to the informatization of education: content structuring, development of electronic textbooks. According to the research topic has 70 scientific publications in scientific journals in neighbouring countries and beyond, the Republic of Kazakhstan, including 32 electronic program with a certificate of state registration of copyright. In 2011, she participated in the Summit of the e-learning developers in Moscow, is a member of E-Learning Pro e-learning developer community.

2. The round tables, seminars, clubs 

Twice a year at the department are held roundtables with the participation of staff of the department dedicated to the improvement of educational, scientific and educational activities of the department. The department has scientific sections for students wishing to do research on the topics of research projects. Also, the department is preparing students for the subject Olympiads and work the clubs.

3. International cooperation

At the end of the Sixth Competition program "Tempus" of the European Union in October 2013 by the European Commission for the financing selected 3 projects of S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, one of which carry the teachers of the department.
