Achievements of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Standardization

1 Teaching and learning

The Dual education system is actively used in teaching and learning at the Department's branch at KSP Steel LLP of the Students of  groups: MZH-301.

The main advantages of the dual system:

- the dual system bridges the gap between theory and practice;

- business leaders are interested in high-quality training of students considering them as their prospective employees;

- the Department gets feedback from companies which helps develop the curriculum in such a way that it would reflect all key requirements of potential employers;

- students get hands-on experience in working with modern equipment.

In 2016 groups  SC 402 specialty 5B073200 - Standardization and certification Suenova M.R. got a scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2 Academic mobility

Studentsof  groups: ME-202 Zhanbulatova L.D., Aidarkhanov D.A. in  3 semester studied in the 2015-2016 academic year, at Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland; SMS-301 Kassainova I.,  semester 5, at Riga Technical University, Riga, (training conducted in English); ME-301 Bekenov K.S. studied at the Semipalatinsk State University, Semey, 5 semester.

In September 2015, within the framework of the state program ST IID-2  1 course graduates a of specialized magistracy attended lectures of the foreign scientist, professor, doctor of Sciences of  Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain) I. Tkachenko Gorski on the subject "Computational Mechanics of deformable solids."

2 Research

13.05.2016 of the head Zhunusov A.K. participated in International Business - Forum Business Days Pavlodar in the Competition “Enterprise`s solution”,  have received the diploma of I degree and a certificate for the prize money of 150 000 tenge.

In the 2015-2016 academic year, students of the department carried out the state budget project for student research works "Jas Galym» 100 000 tenge. Name the project "Design and development of prefabricated structures and composite tool heads", supervisor Dudak N.S., performers: Istai T., Ospantayev A., Panarina A. ME-402; A. Akhmetova, Kayipov I., S. Miller, Rakhim R. ME-302; Zhanbulatova L. ME-202; Mazhit A. SMS-201; Suenova M.  SMS-302.

Master’s degree students of specialty 6M075000 - Metrology Smailova A.D. (Supervisor Yksan Zh.M.) introduced the results of the master's thesis " To study the effect of an error in measuring the accuracy of the control mechanisms of equipment capacity " at enterprise Pavlodar Machine Building Plant - branch of JSC "ERG Service", the act of introduction of 07.06.2016 year.

September 29, 2015, Professor I.A. Shumeyko and graduate Nurkimbayev S.M. presented the project "Universal wind power plant" of the competition committee in the framework of the regional contest "Innovative Pavlodar" received 2nd place.

At the student design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering and Energy developed and built working models of wind turbines:- wind water pump with capacity of 4 l/min;

- wind-power unit with the capacity of 120 watts.

4 Participation in competitions

Head of department Yksan Zh.M. was trained in Sweden, Lunds Tekniska Hocskola Lunds universitet, Lunds, the «Introductory Workshop on Educational System in Sweden» from 07.12.2015 till 12.11.2015, in the amount of 5 ECTS. Visited the University of Lund (Sweden), which is the leading university-partner in the framework of the State program of industrial-innovative development for 2015-2019 years (SP IID 2).

Head of department  Yksan Zh.M., Associate proffersor Itybaeva G.T., Kassenov A.Zh. were trained in June 2015 at the Higher School of Education at Nazarbayev University on the program "Training and retraining of managers of higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan" in the framework of the State Program of Industrial and Innovative Development (SP IID-2) and got certificates.

Head of department  Yksan Zh.M.,passed training in the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia (USA), July 2015 and got a certificate.

Associate  professor Itybaeva G.T. passed training in the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore city, in July 2015 and got a certificate.

Associate  professor Kassenov A.Zh. was training in London, which were organized by the highest Foundation ofLeadership in Higher Education (UK), June 2015 and got a certificate.

Head of department  Yksan Zh.M, professor Dudak N.S., Ph.D., Associate Professor.Derevyagin S.I. attended a seminar from 02.02 till 02.19.2016, the (volume 80 hours) “New Metallurgic Technologies in the German Steel Industry”, held in the framework of the SP IID 2. Lecturer is Senior expert of the German economy fund for International Cooperation SES (Germany),Doctor of Technical Sciences Gisela Elizabeth Barthold.

Yқsan Zh.M., Tkachuk A.A. from October to December 2015 successfully passed the course in the English language level Pre-Intermediate.

Kassenov A.Zh., Itybaeva G.T., Musina Zh.K. from October to December 2015 successfully passed the course in the English language level Elementary.

Iskakova D.A. fromOctober and in February 2016 successfully passed the course in the English language Intermediate level.

Head of department  Yksan Zh.M.,technician Sukach K.P. 10.09.2015 received the Gold Medal of Sultanmakhmut Toraighyrov, in honor of the 55th anniversary of S.Toraighyrov PSU.

Senior Lecturer Tkachuk A.A. 23.12.2015 he received a letter of thanks MES RK, Director of NTC K. Abdiyev for responsibility and professional skills in organizing and conducting the test.

Professor A.I. Denchik passed production internship in an enterprise LLP "Polymer" from 04.01.2016 till 15.05.2016 g, in the amount of 85 hours.

5 Cooperation with companies and organizations

In 2015 academic year, signed a cooperation agreement with PB RSE "KazInSt", LLP "Polymer" MSPE "Pavlodar engineering college." An agreement on the establishment of a branch of the department and the base PB RSE "KazInSt".

For several years the department works closely with the Department "Technology of Machine Building" of Karaganda State technical university ( joint publication of papers, scientific seminars, and others.). The department works closely with enterprises of JSC "Pavlodar Machine Building Plant", PB LLP “KSP Steel”, IE "Firstov AA" (approval of the catalog of elective subjects, the defense of the graduation projects, execution of orders for the implementation of research projects, holding practical, employment of graduates.

Engaging employees PB LLP "KSP Steel", JSC Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, Pavlodar Machine Building Plant - branch of JSC "ERG Service", JSC "Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant", PB RSE "Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Certification" as reviewers, etc.).. Cooperation with other enterprises of Pavlodar, Ekibastuz and Aksu (long-term contracts to carry out field trips, execution of orders for the implementation of R & D).

6 Participation of students in social work and research activities

Students of 5B073200 - Standardization Metrology and Certification, group SMC-201 Abisheva Makhabbat and Soltanova Alia received respectively diplomas of II and III degree of participation in the International scientific conference of young scientists, graduate students, students and schoolchildren “XVI Satpayev readings", Pavlodar, 12.04.2016 city, the supervisor associate  professor Musina Zh.K.

Transmitted a letter of thanks to the Rector of S.Toraighyrov PSU, Orsariyev A.A. "For an active high school students participated in the VII Republican interuniversity Olympiad". Presented letters of gratitude to senior teacher Markova S.Yu. students Almyashevoy O.Yu., Suenova M.R., Ahmetova U.E. "For active participation in the VII Republican interuniversity Olympiad".

Students groups ME-401 Ergibaev A.B., Temirbolat D.Zh., ME-402 Yevtushenko T.L., Miller S.A. ME-302 from April 20 to 22, 2016 took part in the Republican Olympiad on specialty 5B071200 - "Mechanical Engineering" among higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2016 in InEU (Pavlodar), scientific advisor associate professor Kassenov A.Zh.

Ergibaev A.B. ME-401 (scientific supervisor associate professor Kassenov A.Zh.) received a II degree diploma for participation in the Republican Olympiad on specialty 5B071200 - " Mechanical Engineering" among higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2016 in InEU (Pavlodar). Students Temirbolat D.Zh., Yevtushenko T.L., Miller S.A. received certificates for participation in the Republican contest.
