The educational work of the Department is carried out in accordance with the work plan approved. The main areas of the educational work of the Department are devoted to the Message of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev titled “Improvement of welfare of the citizens of Kazakhstan is the main objective of state policy” and to discussion of the State Strategy Kazakhstan-2030.

Great work on cultivating the sense of patriotism is carried out, it includes such activities as studying traditions of the Kazakh people, instilling respect for elders and love for the native land in students, studying the state symbols of Kazakhstan, such as the national emblem, flag and anthem, attending the Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and excursions to historical places. Also great attention is paid to promoting healthy living (it includes passing presidential tests, participating in sport events of the University, the district and the city). The sport sector is responsible for students’ healthy living. For instance, a second-year student majoring in constructional materials, products and constructions production, N. Nurumov participates actively in city and international competitions, where he wins top places.

The above mentioned work is carried out by curators of academic groups and members of the Department.

During an academic year round table meetings dedicated to domestic and foreign policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan are held.

The cultural sector of students participates in organization of concert programs of the University dedicated to remarkable dates. In the course of the academic year curators of academic groups together with students attended the Drama Theatre and various concerts.

The informational sector holds events on themes: “We are against smoking”, “We are against AIDS and drugs” and etc., publishes informative wall newspapers and placards, promulgates healthy living.

Also meetings with the oldest and honored workers of construction industry and communal services are arranged.

Master’s students participate in the work of scientific and practical conferences, which are held at the University, and in the work of educational-methodical and scientific-methodical seminars of the Department.

Master’s students together with the academic staff participate in conduction of the Department’s days in the dormitory, colleges and the city’s and oblast’s schools attached to the Department throughout the academic year.

Within the framework of legal education activities aimed at the prevention of delinquency and crime in youth environment are carried out.

Students participate in the work of scientific and practical conferences, which are held at the University, and in the work of educational-methodical and scientific-methodical seminars of the Department.

Students together with the academic staff take part in conduction of the Department’s days in the dormitory, colleges and the city’s and oblast’s schools attached to the Department throughout the academic year.

The plan of educational work, the minutes of curatorial hours, the Department’s reports, and the work plan of the student scientific club are available at the Department. All students of the Department are provided with dormitory accommodation.
