A joint seminar of the academic library named after academician S. Beisembayev and the IPR BOOKS electronic library system was held at PSU.
During the meeting, the participants discussed issues of technology and solutions of the IPR BOOKS system for the effective organization of the educational process and communications at the university.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Candidate of Technical Sciences Peter Bykov emphasized that those changes that have affected the modern information society should be immediately reflected in the educational process and the training materials used for this purpose.
Vita Kutueva, Director for Development of electronic library system at IPR BOOKS, introduced new solutions and services of the system and its integration into the educational space of participants. She told about ways of automatic formation of book provision and update work programs.
So, using the system in educational and scientific activities, scientists, students and graduates of the university can more effectively select content, create work programs for disciplines, automatically generate lists of relevant literature and timely update them, checking accessibility.
Users have access to exclusive editions of books - more than 600 publishing houses and about 600 magazines, including those from the HAC list.
Magazines, for example, are presented in the form of numbers and are divided into archives. In addition, the publication of individual publications is carried out simultaneously in electronic and paper form, which allows subscribers to significantly save money on a subscription.
