From 14 to 16 May 2019 an external expert committee visited S.Toraighyrov PSU as part of the specialized accreditation of 30 educational programs at ther Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR).

The commission included 28 leading national and international experts of the IAAR from the cities of Yoshkar-Ola (Russia), Vladikavkaz (Russia), Nur-Sultan, Semey, Pavlodar, and others, as well as representatives of employers and students.

An expert group was headed by Marina Alexandrovna Skiba - a member of the national expert group on higher education reform in Kazakhstan, chairperson of the IAAR Expert Council on Higher Education, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor, advisor to the rector of Narxoz University (Almaty).

During the visit, the experts got acquainted with the infrastructure of the university, academic, research, educational and social work at S.Toraighyrov PSU.

Members of the commission attended classes and exams, conducted interviews with the main stakeholders of the educational process – academic staff, employers, students and graduates of the university.

The experts also visited the practice bases and branches of the departments of educational programs which are being accredited: Nazarbayev Intellectual School, Secondary School No. 9, “EkoStroyNII-PV” LLP, Ertis TV channel, state agency “Administration of Economy and Budget Planning”, “Samal” Rehabilitation Center, etc.

Following the visit, the expert group the evaluation will be presented, the results of which will be submitted to the Accreditation Council of the IAAR for a decision on the accreditation of educational programs of the university.
