Meyram Begentayev, Acting Rector of S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Economics and Oral Idyrysov, Deputy General Director of “KazTransOil” JSC signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation on May 2, 2019. The signing took place in the framework of a joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the joint-stock company “KazTransOil” to train engineering and technical personnel for the oil pipeline industry.
The event was also attended by the head of the Pavlodar Oil Pipeline Directorate, Altynbek Kamshybek, and the director of PSU College, Anna Yessenova.
“It is important to undertake professional paid practice because there is a change of generations. It is necessary to replenish the production with young students, in this sense the potential of our country and regions is very high. It must be properly used. The enrolment will be transparent, open. The principle of meritocracy should work here. Today we work in 12 regions, we sign agreements with 11 universities and 10 regional colleges”, Oral Idyrysov emphasized in his speech.
Over 400 students of specialized universities and colleges in the specialty “Oil and Gas Business” will be able to undertake paid internships at the enterprises of the oil transportation company. The size of payments will be from 100,000 to 120,000 tenge. In addition, paid practice is provided for college students. They will receive 70,000 to 80,000 tenge, depending on the region of practice.
On the basis of the company's production units, future specialists will be able to familiarize themselves with the peculiarities of oil pipeline transportation activities and such professions as mechanics of oil pumping stations, laboratory assistants of petrochemical analysis, electricians, pipeliners, specialists in automated control systems and telecommunications, operation and maintenance of oil pipelines and others.
It is worth noting that according to the results of the practice, graduates with good results will be able to find employment in vacant positions in the company.
This project for the preparation of competitive engineering and technical personnel is designed for five years.
