The Academic Council of the Non-Profit Joint-Stock Company “Toraighyrov University” is a collegial governing body whose activities are based on openness and collective discussion of issues within its competence.
The Academic Council is focused on ensuring effective, transparent, and democratic governance of the activities of the Non-Profit Joint-Stock Company “Toraighyrov University” in accordance with the priority objectives of the higher education and science system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The main functions of the Academic Council include:
reviewing, discussing, and making decisions on key issues related to academic, educational, research, innovative, and administrative-economic activities;
facilitating the introduction of innovations into the educational and research processes;
ensuring transparency and accountability of its activities to stakeholders, including the public and government authorities.
The composition of the Academic Council is elected for a term of three years and consists of an odd number of members. If necessary, individual changes may be made to its composition by decision of the general meeting of the staff of the relevant structural unit nominating a candidate to the Academic Council of the University.
