S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University hosted a solemn closing ceremony of the VII Winter Universiade of Kazakhstan, which was held in Pavlodar from March 2 to 11, 2018.

The program included nine sports, such as skiing, winter Presidential all-around, futsal, basketball, arm-wrestling, kettlebell lifting, winter sports orienteering, as well as powerlifting and kazaksha kures. About two thousand athletes from 39 universities of the country fought for the title of the winner

There were two stages of competitions in kettlebell lifting and arm-wrestling held at Pavlodar State University.

In a welcoming speech, the rector of S. Toraighyrov PSU, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Gaukhar Akhmetova mentioned the work of teams, coaches, sports specialists and doctors, whose hard work, self-discipline and coordinated work gave good results. She also wished the participants new beautiful victories.

The seventh winter Universiade brought 7 medals to the team of the Pavlodar State University: 2 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals and the fourth place in the team scoring.

Athletes of Pavlodar State Pedagogical University became The winners of the VII Winter Universiade.

The silver of the competition was won by Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute.

The participants of the Academician E. A. Buketov Karaganda State University became bronze medal winners.

The fourth place in the team scoring was won by athletes from  S. Toraighyrov PSU, showing an excellent result.

D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University became the winner of the fifth place.

Kazakh State Women's Teacher Training University won the sixth place.
