A meeting to discuss the draft state program "Digital Kazakhstan" was held at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

Deputy akim of Pavlodar region Meiram Begentayev, faculty, students and graduates of higher educational institutions of the region took part in the discussion.

Head of the Department for Internal Policy of the region Yernur Dauenov detailed the project of the “Digital Kazakhstan” state program, familiarizing the participants with the main directions, tasks, target indicators of the program. First of all, it is access to public and private digital services through the web portal and mobile application of electronic government "E-gov" and other platforms.

Rector of Pavlodar State University, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Gaukhar Akhmetova addressed the participants of the meeting, , stressing that today digital technologies have taken a firm place in the training system of Pavlodar State University.

"At the university there is its own information system and E-learning CDT, an electronic document management system and a system for distance learning are introduced, electronic textbooks training video materials and much more are being developed", said Gaukhar Galymovna.

The IT HUB plans to open a student service center, create a mobile application for a university employee, system of room management, dormitory management system, develop software for translating academic contents into Latin, create a 3D printing center, etc.

At the end of the discussion, the parties agreed to establish a Project Office within the framework of the implementation of the “Digital Kazakhstan” state program.

The office will focus on improving and developing public services, their analysis and quality control. Also in the plans of the office activity is the organization of a stable digital infrastructure, the generation of cases, as well as the expansion of the list of services on-line.

The working group will include leading experts from universities in the region, government agencies and private companies.
