On April 13, 2017, a prominent Kazakhstani scientist, Honorary education worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor Shamil Torpishchev, would celebrate his 60th anniversary.

Sh. Torpishchev got education in the best, "peak" years of Pavlodar industrial institute, studied for the research degree at Concrete and Reinforced Concrete Research Institute of Moscow (Moscow). More than 30 years he worked at the Faculty of Architecture and Construction. He published more than 160 scientific and methodical works, the author of more than 80 scientific inventions.

Shamil Torpishchev was a strong, outstanding researcher, the largest in the region and in the republic. Recognized in Moscow as silver medals of the VDNKh, in Kazakhstan the "Shapagat" award  as the most active inventor of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Honorary builder of Kazakhstan, recognized worldwide as a member of the International Union of Laboratories and Experts in the field of building materials, systems and structures RILEM, (Paris, France).

On the day of the 60th anniversary a solemn opening of the nominal audience took place, and the first production line of construction products made of lightweight concrete developed by Shamil Torpishchev was begun at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

Rector of PSU, doctor of political sciences, professor Aryn Orsariyev noted that Shamil Kamilyevich was not just a bright public figure of our university, he was not just a professor, he was a man whom we can consider as an inventor with a God-given talent:

"We, realizing that he dreamed to embody his work, should make sure that his ideas do not go down in history. We, the modern generation of scientists and inventors, in an homage to the memory of Shamil Kamilyevich will find options to put all of his outstanding inventions in place. This will be our response and a sign that the flight was not interrupted".

On the evening of memory, a monograph was presented - a doctoral dissertation of a scientist, which he did not have time to defend. In addition, the guests were shown a film about the scientific and creative path of Sh. Torpishchev.

Shamil Kamilyevich had many friends and like-minded people who shared their memories, which were included in the book "Ongoing flight".

It is symbolic that the celebration of the jubilee coincided with the day of scientists. In addition, a meeting of the section "Industrial, civil and transport construction", dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Ph.D., Professor Shamil Torpischev was held during the international practical conference "XVII Satpayev Readings".
