Student of S. Toraighyrov PSU, future biotechnologist Elnur Rakhmatullin became the winner of the national contest of English words spelling "Kazakhstan Spelling Bee".

In the final, which was held in Astana, took part the best students of Kazakhstan universities, winners of regional stages of the contest.

According to the conditions, the final was held in several rounds. For each participant, the host said the word, after which participant should orally spell the word within two minutes.

The contest was held in honor of the 25th anniversary of friendly and diplomatic ties between the United States of America and Kazakhstan and was held under the auspices of the project "The Trinity of Languages", which is aimed at the fact that Kazakhstani people have all the conditions for studying Kazakh, Russian and English languages.

Elnur Rakhmatullin remained pleased with his participation in the competition and shared his impressions:

"I was surprised by the friendliness of our American friends. The experience of other Olympiads suggested that such events are held exclusively in a tense atmosphere, but in deed everything was very comfortable, and I even had time to make friends with all foreign guests. Frankly, there were a lot of stressful moments, especially during the first rounds. By feel, the time then went ten times slower than usual. Realization that the main thing is to enjoy the process, almost like in a well-known joke, helped me. Of course, good preparation also played to the good. To summarize, I strongly recommend to take part in such competitions to all those who know English at least on an average level to assess their possibilities and knowledge".
