Gisela Barthold Elisabeth, Doctor of Technical Sciences, senior expert of the German economy fund on international cooperation SES (Germany), held a seminar for the faculty staff of the S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University within the framework of SP IID-2.

SES (Senior Expert Service) - is the German Economy Fund on International Cooperation and non-profit limited liability company that offers all interested parties an opportunity, after retirement, to actively participate in society, passing on their knowledge and skills to others, both in their own country as well as abroad.

Elisabeth Barthold’s findings of investigation on steelmaking and the production of bar iron are implemented at the enterprises of Germany, Japan, Korea and China.

The objective of the seminars for the staff of Faculty of Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering and Transport on "New metallurgical technologies in the steel industry in Germany" is a studying of the experience of German steel companies in the development and implementation of innovative technology for improvement of steel and mill products quality, as well as the competitiveness of enterprises and their possibility to adapt on businesses in Kazakhstan.

The arrival of a senior expert from Germany aroused the great interest of metallurgists of Pavlodar region. The seminars involved not only teachers of our university, but also the heads and specialists of the region's leading metallurgical enterprises (LLP “Casting”, LLP “KSP Steel”, etc.).

For graduates studying in a framework SP IID-2, Gisela Barthold Elisabeth conducts classes on discipline "Processes of metals and recycling."

In accordance with the concept of multilingual education classes are held in English and German. 

"Cooperation with leading experts in the Germany metallurgy will allow us to apply the experience of production organization in solving quality problems in the smelting of steel and the production of bar iron and seamless pipes. The knowledge gained from leading German companies will help in the research and teaching activities", - said Pyotr Bykov, Candidate of Science (Engineering), associate professor of Pavlodar State University the director of the registrar’s office.

As a result of direct communication of S.Toraighyrov PSU scientists with an expert from the German have already been found common interests in researches and have been marked prospects for further joint research.
