The academic staff and students of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University voiced extensive support for the guidelines of the Message of President of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev titled “Kazakhstan in a New Global Reality: Growth, Reforms, Development”.

In particular, special attention was paid to the conclusive thesis of the chapter titled “The fundamentals of Investment Policy”, i.e. “…the innovation potential of Kazakhstan’s economy should be increased. It is important to lay the ground for formation of future economy. It is necessary to develop competencies in the sphere of smart technologies, artificial intelligence, integration of cyber physical systems, future power industry and engineering. This can be accomplished through development of an effective science and innovation system. Powerful research universities and innovation clusters will form its basis…”. In this regard S. Toraighyrov PSU has the comprehensive potential and scientific and technological platform to deservedly take the position of the regional center of scientific gravity of Pavlodar Priirtyshye. 

Vice-Rector for Strategy and International Cooperation of S. Toraighyrov PSU, Doctor of Political Sciences A. Akishev drew attention to the fourth thesis of the above-mentioned chapter of the Message of President, i.e. “…it is essential to develop the system of technical personnel training to the greatest possible extent. Technical and vocational education should become one of the main directions of investment policy. For this purpose centers on staff training should be established in cooperation with Germany, Canada, Australia and Singapore. They will constitute a model of the technical and vocational education system for the whole country”. According to Vice-Rector A. Akishev, PSU can facilitate the realization of the given thesis both in the sphere of training of highly qualified technical specialists and in terms of implementation of joint projects in the above-mentioned sphere together with great foreign educational centers and universities specified by President in his Message.
