An online conference on the theme “Educate a Woman, Build a Nation” was held at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University under a republican forum “Women and Religion”.

The event was organized by the akimat of West Kazakhstan oblast, the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The forum was aimed at discussing the theme “Women and Religion” in terms of social and political sciences, helping young people genuinely understand the fundamentals of Islam, contributing to formation of religious identity in accordance with modern traditions of social environment.

“Our goal was to make the role of a woman in the religion more understandable and most importantly, to give a right treatment of the main postulates of world religions and Islam in particular. Against the background of recent events and exacerbation of xenophobia in the context of nations and religions, issues, which we touch today, are of great importance. To be educated is a vital necessity for a woman that is dictated by a fast changing world. To a great extent, education is important for a woman in terms of spiritual development, enrichment of her inner world, improvement of critical thinking skills and formation of her own opinion. All this will help women raise their children to be truly great adults, who believe in their country and respect other nations and religions. Everything starts with the family and a woman is the soul of a family. Besides this, our club makes all-out efforts to instill compassion and mercifulness in future mothers, young ladies. For this purpose our club actively participates in various social programs, visiting senior nursing and children’s homes,” said the chairman of Kyz Zhibek Club, the head of the Department of the Kazakh Language, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Professor Aiman Fayzullovna Zeynulina.

It should be mentioned that Kyz Zhibek Club of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University first opened its doors on September 13, 2013. The mission of the club is moral upbringing of young women keeping with national traditions with regard to modern factors.
