The Rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Aryn Orsariyev, had a meeting with the Rector of International University of Innovation Technologies (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan), Ulugbek Begaliyev.
The parties signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of academic mobility, staff's professional development, and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
The International University of Innovative Technologies is known for its focus on optical technology, information and communication technology, automation and control, computer simulation in architecture and construction, production of effective building materials and products, electricity supply and electrical engineering, geographic information systems and environmental monitoring. In a number of areas, IntUIT is rightfully considered as one of the leading centers in Central Asia.
According to Aryn Orsariyev, areas of common interest were identified during the meeting. “We expect the cooperation with International University of Innovative Technologies to be fruitful. The research projects at the intersection of science and industry carried out by Kyrgyz scientists are interesting for us,” he said.
The delegation from S. Toraighyrov PSU also visited the office of Friedrich Ebert Foundation, one of the oldest German political foundations. PSU members learned about the activities carried out by Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Kazakhstan. It is a private, non-profit, independent organization acting in the spirit of the ideals and fundamental values of social democracy.
The Foundation was established in 1925 as a political testament of Friedrich Ebert (1871 - 1925), the first democratically elected German Reichs President. The main tasks are strengthening civil, democratic and human rights protection structures; stabilization of social and economic development, expansion of regional cooperation.
The main objectives of the Foundation are to promote mutual understanding between the peoples of different countries and support gifted and socially active students and young scientists in Germany and abroad by providing scholarships. Besides, the Foundation also supports the development of research activities and educational institutions.
