S. Toraighyrov PSU hosted a training seminar on how to publish research papers in highly ranked journals with impact factors held by Irina Aleksandrova, an official representative of Springer Kazakhstan.
The seminar was held to increase the number of active users of advanced modern information resources, in particular, Springer electronic resources.
Irina Aleksandrova showed how to get access to full-text research papers and journals published by Springer. In total, Springer publishes 3049 journals, including open access journals. 1601 of them are indexed by Thomson Reuters (Journal Citation Reports) and have impact factors, another 65 are under consideration for inclusion in this database, 2247 journals are indexed by Scopus.

I am sure that this information will be useful for our students and academic staff,” he said.
Aybek Akayev, a doctoral student majoring in Electric Power Engineering, says that the seminar helped him understand how to prepare a research paper for publication in highly ranked journals with impact-factors. “For example, much attention was paid to the importance of studying publications by leading experts in various fields of science for subsequent citation in your own research paper,” said Aybek Akayev.
Participants of the seminar had a practical training in a computer classroom. The representative of Springer told about the rules of publication in Springer journals, new tools for carrying out research and publishing their results in journals recognized worldwide.
Participants of the seminar received certificates. Those who were late for the registration had the opportunity to take this course via the Internet and receive certificates by e-mail.
