S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University held an Open Day for prospective students from Pavlodar.
The event was attended by last-year students of secondary schools, their teachers and parents.
Arman Akishev, Vice-Rector for Development Strategy, Education and Social Affairs of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, delivered an opening speech. He told about the conditions created for students to get high-quality education. PSU is currently rated among the top five higher education institutions of Kazakhstan with leadership in many areas. “Our students can continue their education by entering a Master's or Doctoral degree programs. There is also a military department, so our students can get not only higher education diplomas but also military ranks,” he said.
S. Toraighyrov PSU is the only state HEI in Pavlodar region offering a wide range of educational programs in three levels (Bachelor, Master, PhD). PSU is a member of the European University Association, it received the European Quality international award. Main trends of the University are academic mobility, international cooperation, inviting foreign lecturers, and introduction of dual education.
Ayzhan Kuderina, Dean of the Foundation Faculty of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, told about the admission rules. She explained all the benefits of studying at PSU and answered the questions asked by prospective students. “S. Toraighyrov PSU is actively developing academic mobility of students and academic staff. Owing to this program, students can study at best universities of the world, study foreign languages right in the countries where they are spoken,” she said.
There was a demonstration of the video about the faculties and programs offered by S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University and main trends of the University.
It has already become a tradition for best teams of the Student Philharmonic of S. Toraighyrov PSU to perform at such meetings with prospective students. The Jam modern dance studio, Pavlodar Zhastary Kuramasy KVN team, and Nasikhat Abykenova helped create the right atmosphere for the event.
This meeting helped prospective students learn more about each faculty and employment opportunities after graduation.
