The International Online Workshop on Ethnoconfessional Processes and New Religious Movements in Modern Conditions was held at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

The event was organized by the Regional Scientific and Practical Center for the Study of Inter-ethnic and Inter-confessional Processes and the Department of Philosophy, Social and Human Disciplines of S. Toraighyrov PSU.

The workshop was held to discuss and analyze topical problems relating to contemporary ethno-confessional processes in the context of activities carried out by new religious movements.

The workshop was attended by Vice-Rector for Development Strategy, Education and Social Affairs of S. Toraighyrov PSU, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Arman Akishev, Head of the Office for Religious Affairs of Pavlodar region Daulet Zakaryanov, Head of the Secretariat of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan of Pavlodar region Seysembay Zhetpisbayev, Head of the scientific and analytical group Saule Mamytova. The event was also attended by academic staff members, Master's degree students, undergraduate students of foreign universities, representatives of government agencies and student associations of S. Toraighyrov PSU.

Reports were made by Professor of St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, Director of the Institute of Peace, Conflict and Meditation of the Kokshe Academy, a member of the expert council of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Political Sciences Tatyana Dronzina, Head of the Department of Theory and History of Culture and Museology of Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, Candidate of Historical Sciences Lyudmila Dryomova, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of Culture and Museology of Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, Candidate of Culturology Yelena Tikhomirova.

Members of PSU also took an active part in the workshop. Interesting and informative reports were made by Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy, Social and Human Disciplines, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Mayra Kozhamzharova, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy, Social and Human Disciplines, Candidate of Political Sciences Meyramgul Altybasarova, Associate Professor of S. Toraighyrov PSU, Candidate of Political Sciences Ildar Kaliyev, Director of the Regional Scientific and Practical Center for the Study of Inter-ethnic and Inter-confessional Processes Nurzhamal Tyshkanova, and the Chairman of the Student Assembly, a student of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Ramil Smailov.
