Arman Akishev, Vice-Rector for Development Strategy, Educational and Social Affairs of S. Toraighyrov PSU, held a traditional meeting with the students left without parental care.
This annual meeting organized by the Department of Educational Work and Social Affairs of S. Toraighyrov PSU is held in order to support orphaned students and encourage them to participate in the University’s life.
Arman Akishev emphasized in his speech that the University provides all social guarantees and implements all social projects and programs providing support to students left without parental care. He told the students about the benefits and tuition fee discounts, the possibilities of getting free accommodation, free meals in the cafeteria, and free use of public transport.
Every year the University holds charity events to raise funds to buy winter clothes for orphaned students. The University also has students who are fully supported by the state. Freshmen are provided with clothes and white goods, final-year students get a one-time compensation. Total number of orphaned students at PSU is 79.
Vice-Rector for Development Strategy, Educational and Social Affairs of Pavlodar State University encouraged the students to take a more active part in all events held by the University. According to him, every student has a real opportunity to get a high-quality education and become an in-demand specialist.
At the end of the meeting, each student received financial aid and new-year gifts from the University administration. Such events are held by PSU on a regular basis. It's a good chance to discuss problems of students and work out solutions together.
