Students of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University won the national competition for the scholarships established by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Leader of the Nation.

This nation-wide competition initiated by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Leader of the Nation, is held to encourage students’ academic, scientific and creative activities. Only full-time university students with good academic performance and achievements in the social, scientific and cultural spheres, as well as in their own professional fields are eligible for participation in the competition, provided that their achievements are evidenced by reports, publications, participation and victories in intellectual and creative competitions.

PSU students demonstrated the best results in terms of academic performance, participation in creative competitions, preparation of research papers and reports. As a result, Rizat Bolat from the Faculty of Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering and Transport, Yelena Garkava and Altyngul Zkriyanova from the Faculty of Humanities and Education, and Anastasiya Nazarova from the Faculty of Business and Law were announced winners of the competition.

The ceremony of awarding the winners of the annual competition for student scholarships established by the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan will be held on November 11, 2014 in Almaty. During the ceremony, which will take place at Kazakh State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Abay, Head of the Foundation will award certificates and badges to the best students.

Four students of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University are now holders of this prestigious scholarship, which is yet another evidence of our University's leading position in the field of education in our region and its commitment to high-quality education and innovation.
