Famous scientists from Europe, who have come to PSU under the program of inviting academics from other countries, give lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students of our University.

According to Akmaral Kairbayeva, Head of the University's International Cooperation Department, the program of inviting foreign lecturers to PSU was organized to learn the international experience of teaching core subjects and use it in the teaching process at PSU, as well as to develop joint research projects.

Professor of G. Rossini Conservatory in Pesaro, laureate of international competitions, world-famous opera singer Yevgeniya Dundekova gave lectures and held individual lessons and a master-class on Vocal Art in Europe and Voice-Training for students of the Department of Performing Arts. Yevgeniya Dundekova also visited the branch of the Department in the College of Music of Pavlodar, Regional Philharmonic, and held a demonstration lesson with the symphony orchestra.

Students of the Department of Geography and Tourism attended a course of lectures by David Lorant, a Professor of St. Stephen University (Budapest, Hungary).

Lectures on the Theory of Translation, Language for Academic Purposes and Literary Text Interpretation are delivered to students of the Department of Foreign Languages and Translation Studies by lecturers from Hungary Katalin Piniel and Victoria Lebovich.

Students of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy praised the lectures delivered by Professor Tamas Tompa for their practical nature and focus on research and development.

Katalin Kro, PhD, holds consultations for students majoring in philosophy, social and human disciplines.

Professor Georgiy Mestsaros told future journalists about topical problems of sociology and legislation in mass media. Dean of the Faculty of Transport of Polytechnic University (Prague, Czech Republic) Professor Miroslav Svitek gives lectures on intelligent transportation systems.

The Faculty of Agricultural Technology will adopt the experience of their European colleagues in the field of biotechnology. Sergey Khvylya (Moscow, Russia) gives lectures on monitoring and evaluation of raw materials and food products, as well as medical and biological aspects of their security.

Inviting lecturers from other counties to PSU is a good opportunity for students to acquire new knowledge and for academic staff members to study new methods of teaching and best practices used in European education. The ultimate goal is internationalization of education at PSU, active implementation of the Bologna principles, improvement of the competitiveness of the University, and development of the skills of academic communication in English.
