Dariya Zhusupbayeva, a student of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University majoring in Biotechnology (BT-201), took the third place in the National Competition in Taekwondo.

Development of physical education and sports is the guarantee of the Nation's health. Students of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology take an active part in many sporting events of the University and the city. 75 students are members of sports clubs.

Dariya Zhusupbayeva has been attending the Kim Sung-soo taekwondo school since 2000. Her coach is Dmitriy Smorodin, a black belt holder (3rd dan). Dariya has already participated in many regional, national and international competitions. She won the champion's title in the national competitions in 2005 and 2007 and a silver medal as a member of a junior team. She also won champion's titles in St. Petersburg, Barnaul and Korea. Dariya is a candidate for the title of Master of Sports. She is a holder of a black belt (1st dan) in taekwondo.

Dariya has recently participated in the National Taekwondo Championship for sports schools and took the third place. Among the participants of the Championship were teams from Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Taraz and other cities.

Besides her brilliant achievements in sports, Dariya Zhusupbayeva has great academic performance. She shows a good example to her fellow students encouraging them to start healthy lifestyles.
