As a part of the Labor Day celebration program, students of the Faculty of Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering and Transport had a meeting with Kabidolla Shakarimov, the Chairman of Zamandas (a club for veterans of the Pavlodar region), on September 17, 2014.

Kabidolla Shakarimov is one of the first graduates of the Faculty of Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering and Transport of Pavlodar Industrial Institute. As a student, he used to be a member of the Academic Council of the Institute, Head of the Komsomol committee, and Secretary of the Communist Party. He began his career as a senior master at CHPP. Later he worked for the Party. Now Kabidolla Shakarimov is the Chairman of Zamandas Veterans Club.

Dean of the Faculty of Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering and Transport of S. Toraighyrov PSU, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Professor Toleugazy Toktaganov introduced the guest and briefed the audience on the main stages of his professional life. He urged the students to learn from such worthy representatives of the older generation, as Kabidolla Shakarimov.

The guest shared the memories of the first steps in his career, first achievements, gave students advice on future independent life and wished them to be responsible and principled.

'Many years have passed, but I'm still heartily grateful to this University, as it gave me invaluable knowledge. So today I urge you to do your best to improve your knowledge! Now you have incredible opportunities we could only dream of back in my days. You should appreciate them and always strive for self-improvement,' said Kabidolla Shakarimov.
