A visit of Vice-Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Takir Balykbayev to S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University took place on July 12, 2014.
During the visit, Rector of Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Serik Omirbayev held a presentation for the distinguished guest. It was devoted to the main achievements of the University and its trends that allow PSU to become a full member of the European educational process.
Dean of the Foundation Faculty, Candidate of Pedagogic Sciences, Associate Professor Ayzhan Kuderina introduced the Vice-Minister to the work of the Admissions Office. Director of the Registrar's Office, Candidate of Engineering Sciences Pyotr Bykov demonstrated the program of S. Toraigyrov PSU participation in the implementation of the State Program of Industrial and Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Stands describing research projects performed by PSU members were presented by Dean of the Faculty of Energy Engineering, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Professor Aleksandr Kislov, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Standardization, Candidate of Engineering Sciences Aleksandr Shumeyko, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Associate Professor Aleksey Bogomolov, Head of the Department of Vocational Education and Environmental Protection, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Professor Kapar Aryngazin, and Director of the Regional Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer Sergey Smailov.
Head of the Department of Learning Process Informatization, the Education Informatization Center, Sapar Toksanov made a presentation of the Electronic University System.
Director of S. Beysembayev Scientific Library Saida Isamadiyeva showed some rare books from the library fund, namely, the books from the Rukhnama series, as well as series of books about Mashkhur Zhusip Kopeyev, S. Toraighyrov, and a series of lectures by Nobel Prize winners.
Takir Balykbaev also visited scientific laboratories of S. Toraighyrov PSU, in particular, the Animals Biotechnology Laboratory, Chemistry of Nanostructured Polymer Hydrogels and Nanoelectronics Laboratory, as well as the Laboratory of Energy Saving and Technology. Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor Toktar Bekseitov presented the Animals Biotechnology Laboratory. Junior Researcher of the Energy Saving and Technology Research and Production Center Nazhimetden Zhakipov told the Vice-Minister about the latest developments of the Laboratory.
The Vice-Minister also visited the Electrical Power Engineering Laboratory named after F.K. Boyko, the Laboratory of Electromechanics and Electrical Equipment, classroom for tutors, classroom named after the Nobel Prize winner Robert Mundell, and the Media Center of the University.
At the end of his visit, Takir Balykbayev expressed confidence that the University, which has been listed among the top 5 multidisciplinary universities of Kazakhstan, has great potential to retain its status of a member of the Bologna Process and one of the leading universities of Kazakhstan.
