S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University and Nazarbayev University autonomous education organization signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the universities during the III Eurasian Higher Education Leaders’ Forum.

The Memorandum was signed by the President of Nazarbayev University Shigeo Katsu and Rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Serik Omirbayev.

The memorandum is aimed at strengthening cooperation in such areas as professional development of the University academic staff members, providing access to high-quality resources for undergraduate and postgraduate students of S. Toraighyrov PSU, performance of joint research programs and development of innovative education and research activities.

The main task of this cooperation is transferring the experience accumulated by Nazarbayev University to S. Toraighyrov PSU with a view to making effective changes in the structure of the University organization and management, its research and educational activities, and international cooperation strategy.

According to Serik Omirbayev, Nazarbayev University has a strategic task of creating an innovative intellectual cluster laying the foundation for further development of science and education in the country.

'Pavlodar State University is actively developing innovative fields of research and educational activities. We are interested in cooperation and adoption of the best practices in the field of science and education. Multifaceted cooperation between our Universities is a high-level partnership,' said Serik Omirbayev.

Cooperation between S. Toraighyrov PSU and the leading universities of the world helps shape up an integrated research and educational space, use the fundamental scientific basis of partner universities, develop new forms and technologies of education.
