Pavlodar scientific community celebrated the birthday of a famous scientist and talented teacher Vitaliy Ukrainets.

This year, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor of the Department of Vocational Education and Environmental Protection of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University Vitaliy Nikolayevich Ukrainets celebrates his 60th birthday.

Vitaliy Ukrainets has worked at PSU for more than 35 years. Over these years, he has proven himself to be a highly-qualified specialist, talented researcher and leader. His brilliant achievements are evidenced by many publications. He has published over 150 research works devoted to mathematical (computer) modeling of the dynamics of tunnels and underground pipelines, including 3 monographs used in the educational process at S. Toraighyrov PSU and M. Tynyshpayev Kazakh Academy of Transport and Communications.

Working as a chief researcher, he has been in charge of many research projects performed and successfully completed by the Wave Dynamics Laboratory of the Mathematics Institute of the RK MES. V.N. Ukrainets currently supervises the grant research project entitled “Computer Modeling of Tunnel Dynamics under Traffic Load” in the laboratory of the Institute of Mathematics and Mathematical Modeling (Almaty).

It is gratifying that the contribution to the development of science and education system of Kazakhstan made by Vitaliy Ukrainets is duly appreciated. He was awarded a diploma of the Ministry of Education and Science, a badge for merits in development of science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and a Sultanmakhmut Toraighyrov gold medal.
