The official ceremony of awarding the winners of the regional “Zhas Ghalym” competition and the Science Fair with the participation of Deputy Akim of the region Aryn Orsariyev took place in S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar Regional Universal Scientific Library.

According to the results of the regional competition, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Technology and Natural Sciences of Pavlodar State University Aygul Yeginbayeva received the award in the Young Master nomination. Master's degree student from group MB-22n Rimma Ualiyeva won the first prize in the Young Master's Degree Student nomination.

After the awarding ceremony, there was a Science Fair, a competition of research projects organized by the Kenzhekol Zhastary youth public association with the support of the Department of Youth Policy of Pavlodar in cooperation with the Council of Young Scientists of Pavlodar region.

The Science Fair was attended by Vice-rector for Research and Innovation of S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Nurlan Yerzhanov, Executive Director of the Yertis science and technology park, Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Associate Professor of PSU Serik Zhumazhanov, and Director of the Regional Center of Innovation and Technology Transfer Sergey Smailov.

According to Nurlan Yerzhanov, Pavlodar State University creates all necessary conditions for students to do research. 'Participation of our young scientists' projects in competitions and exhibitions at various levels provides a unique opportunity for them to improve their knowledge and skills and gain some invaluable practical experience. Research results are then actively used in the learning process and in the real sector,' said Nurlan Yerzhanov.

PSU students also made presentations of their projects. Our team consisted of the student of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology Altynay Arkatova, Daniel Tokkozhin from the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology, and members of the Faculty of Metallurgy, Machine Building and Transport of Pavlodar State University Kanat Arkalykov, Serik Akushev, Sagymysh Nurkimbayev and Badinur Belyalov.
