S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University held a meeting with prospective students in May area of Pavlodar region on April 9, 2014.

The meeting took place in the secondary school of Koktobe village. It was attended by 69 prospective students and their teachers.

During the meeting, prospective students saw a video about Pavlodar State University.

The Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor Marat Kuderin and Associate Professor of the Department of Zootechnology, Genetics and Selective Breeding Tolegen Asanbayev, who were born in May area, warmly welcomed the participants of the meeting on behalf of the administration and teaching staff members of the University.

The Dean of the Foundation Faculty, Candidate of Pedagogic Sciences, Associate Professor Ayzhan Kuderina told about the rules of admission to universities of Kazakhstan, deadlines for documents submission, exact dates of CNT, competition for state educational grants, and the system of discounts and benefits offered by the University.

Dulat Zhumadilov, a third year student majoring in Tourism, told about his experience of taking part in the Academic Mobility program offered by the University. His monologue was accompanied by a slide presentation with pictures taken by PSU students in Baltic International Academy (Latvia).

The Head of the Department of Education of May area Tursyn Alibekova thanked PSU representatives for their attention to graduates of the area, as well as for the well-organized meeting. She also wished good luck to all grade 11 students who are to take the common national testing this year.

It has already become a tradition for the Student Philharmonic of PSU to give performances during such evens. Soloists of the Melody band, Jam modern dance band, and Zhastar Kuramasy KVN team deserved an ovation from the audience.

At the end of the meeting, PSU representatives held consultations for prospective students and answered all their questions.
