An Open Day for prospective students from the schools of Pavlodar area and specialized schools of the city of Pavlodar was held in the Concert Hall of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University on March 17, 2014.

On this day, 502 prospective students from 38 schools (12 schools of Pavlodar area, 25 schools of the city, including lyceums and gymnasiums, and Zerde Specialized School No. 3 for Gifted Children, Ekibastuz) came to PSU with their parents and teachers.

Rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Serik Omirbayev warmly welcomed the guests of the University. On behalf of the University administration and teaching staff, Serik Omirbayev made a presentation of the oldest higher education institution of our region, Pavlodar State University.

The Dean of the Foundation Faculty, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Ayzhan Kuderina told about the main aspects of admission to the University. She noted the advantages of studying at PSU and told about the application procedure and its deadlines.

During the event, prospective students saw a video about Pavlodar State University showing the main trends of the University and the programs offered by its faculties.

Irina Anikiyeva, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, told the prospective students about her impressions of participation in the Academic Mobility program available at PSU.

It has also become a tradition for the best artists and creative teams of Pavlodar State University to give performances during the Open Days. Asel Kulzhanova, Melody vocal duet, Pavlodar Zhastar Kuramasy KVN team and other performers helped create the right atmosphere for this event.

As a part of the Open Day program, prospective students received consultations regarding the programs offered by PSU and future career perspectives.
