A recitation competition was held by the scientific and practical center of Mashkhur-studies of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University at secondary school number 3 named after K. Ospanov in Kachiry area of Pavlodar region.

The purpose of the contest was identifying talented students and promoting consolidation of the best traditions of Kazakh philology.

This one-day contest was held in three categories. The winners in the category “Бас болып, өнер білсең” (expressive reading of poems by a great son of the Kazakh people, our illustrious countryman, educator, orientalist, folklore collector Mashkhur Zhusip Kopeyev) are Iliyas Shapagat (first place diploma), Kamila Syzdykova (second place), and Gulzat Baltabayeva (third place).

Sandugash Kamanova won the first place diploma in the “Ғылыми жұмыстар” category, while Daniyarbet Akzholov and Raviza Zeynulova took the second and third places respectively.

“Білімді зерек адам болам!” – десең, Қара өзіңді басқаның айнасымен” is the name of the essay competition. Sattigul Sapan was awarded the first prize for her essay. Diana Bakhitova and Ruslana Sokolova won the second and the third prizes respectively. Among the jury members were Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Kazakh Philology of S. Toraighyrov PSU N.K. Zhusipov, Acting Head of the scientific and practical center of Mashkhur-studies A.Zh. Kopeyev, and the editor of the Terenkul Tynysy newspaper Ye.A. Kamzin.

A seminar for secondary school teachers of Kachiry area entitled “Мәшһүр Жүсіп Көпейұлының әдеби-мәдени мұралары – “Мәңгілік Ел” ұлттық идеясының бір негізі” was held under the competition program.

Participants of the seminar learned about the system of activities carried out by the Mashkhur-studies center. At the end of the seminar, its participants discussed plans for further cooperation between Pavlodar State University and educational institutions of Kachiry area in the field of promotion of M.Zh. Kopeyuly's legacy.
