The administration and teaching staff members of S. Toraighyrov PSU discussed the Address by the President N.A. Nazarbayev “Kazakhstan’s Way-2050: the Common Goal, Common Interests and Common Future” with great encouragement and enthusiasm.

“The President's address to the Nation “Kazakhstan’s Way-2050: the Common Goal, Common Interests and Common Future” presents clear outlines of the modernization strategy for education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan linking them to the successful industrial and innovative development of the country. We realize critical importance of the orders given by the President concerning the gradual transition of universities to academic and managerial autonomy, as well as creation of conditions for effective system of supporting students with good academic performance. Besides, S. Toraighyrov PSU has more than half a century experience in professional training in a wide range of specialities, which will be a great help for implementation of the most important order in this field given by the President, i.e. formation of a national system of dual technical and vocational education”, said the Rector of S. Toraighyrov PSU, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Serik Omirbayev.

Having listened to the Address, active students of S. Toraighyrov PSU noted that they always feel that the Government takes care of them and appreciate the personal support of the President of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev. According to the student rector Gabit Khafiz, “an effective system of supporting students with high academic achievements and increasing scholarships provided for in the new Address by the President is an important impetus for further pursuit and accumulation of knowledge”.

Veterans of the University strongly agree with the point made by the President that one of the most important principles of strengthening welfare of the People of Kazakhstan is social wellbeing of ordinary people, stressing that it should be an important indicator of the progress on our way to the main goal: a stable and prosperous Kazakhstan society.

S. Toraighyrov PSU members expressed their total support of the idea by the Head of the State concerning the leading role of education and science in the formation of a prosperous state and claimed readiness to make every effort to make sure that the orders given by the President are properly executed.
