Students of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University with the support of the Department of Science and Innovation of the University took part in the regional competition held by the Design Office in the Youth Service Center of Pavlodar.

The competition was held in the form of an exhibition organized by the Department of Youth Policy of Pavlodar Region SI and the regional branch of the Students Alliance of Kazakhstan YPO.

The exhibition of the Youth Design Office was held in Pavlodar for the first time. Its main purpose is all-round and harmonious development of an individual with technically-oriented thinking.

The undergraduate and postgraduate students of our University won the following prizes.

Students of TE-402 group, Faculty of Energy Engineering, Vladislav Serebryakov and Viktoriya Serookaya won the first prize with the project entitled “Research and Development of Technology for Production of Fuel Briquettes” supervised by Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Heat Power Engineering Yevgeniy Valentinovich Prikhodko.

The student of KT-401 group, Faculty of Metallurgy, Machine Building and Transport, Oraz-Khamit Abishev won the second prize with the project entitled “An Automobile with a Hybrid Power Unit Based on SKODA Oktavia” supervised by senior lecturer of the Department of Transport Engineering and Logistics Ruslan Batyrbekovich Mukanov.

The student of MS-402, Faculty of Metallurgy, Machine Building and Transport, Sagynysh Nurkimbayev and Master's degree student Aleksey Khristodotov took the third place with the project entitled “Innovative Project of a Universal Windmill” supervised by Candidate of Engineering Sciences, Professor of the Department of Machine Building and Standardization Ivan Alekseyevich Shumeyko.

After the end of this event, a roundtable discussion on the Prospects of Interaction of Students and Young Scientists in the Development and Implementation of Innovative Ideas was held.

According to the Chairperson of the regional branch of Students Alliance of Kazakhstan YPO Nurgul Aygozhina, such events are aimed at social support of young people in development of their innovative ideas and helping them in further implementation of their projects.
