A presentation of S. Toraighyrov PSU anthem took place during the celebration of the jubille of a famous composer and PSU professor

The scientific community of Pavlodar celebrated the jubilee of a famous educator, talented composer, Professor of S. Toraighyrov PSU, holder of the title of an Honorary Worker of Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nazymbek Sabitovich Dukenbay on November 28, 2013.

A special concert entirely dedicated to this event took place at the Concert Hall of S. Toraighyrov PSU; Nazymbek Dukenbay was awarded a medal “For Services to the Pavlodar Region”. The Al Aki Kazakh folklore and ethnographic ensemble and the jazz ensemble under the direction of Viktor Sheykin took part in this event. The culmination of the evening was the presentation of the anthem of S. Toraighyrov PSU composed by Nazymbek Dukenbay.

Nazymbek Dukenbay is the author of over 20 study guides, textbooks and songboos, he writes phonograms for his songs, works in close cooperation with local poets and artists; he is actively involved in public work, he conducts master-classes and participates in the professional development events held for music teachers of schools and kindergartens of our city and region. Nazymbek Dukenbay writes songs, releases collections of songs for schoolchildren, and books for music lessons (elementary school).

It is gratifying that the contribution to the development of education system of Kazakhstan made by Professor Dukenbay is much appreciated. In 2001, he was awarded a medal commemorating 10 years of Kazakhstan's independence. Besides, Nazymbek Dukenbay won the Grand Prix at “the Best Music Teacher” contest held for music teachers working in the system of higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2003) and the state grant “the Best University Teacher” (2006).

N.S. Dukenbay organized the national contest “the Best Music Teacher”. He has been a member of the National Education Board in Music Education since 2004.

This evening, many students came to congratulate their teacher: a mixed choir of the Department of Performing Arts, the Nyuans band, winners of international contests the Nizam band. Many songs written by Nazymbek Dukenbay were performed at this concert.
