The Head of the Department of Performing Arts of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Candidate of Art Criticism Daniyar Mergaliyev participated in the III International Cultural Forum (held in the cities of Moscow and Ulyanovsk).

The Forum was held within the Generation Next program of short-term visits to the Russian Federation for young members of the political, social, scientific and business entities from foreign countries.

In accordance with the program of the visit, the PSU scientist was a member of the CIS delegation and had meetings with the administration of the Ulyanovsk region, the Minister of Arts and Cultural Policy of the Ulyanovsk region T.A. Ivshina, the Head of the Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) K.I. Kosachev, administration of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of the Moscow Government S.Ye. Cheryomin. Daniyar Mergaliyev also visited some higher education institutions in his field.

Besides, sightseeing tours were organized for the participants of the Forum in Moscow. The guests also visited a concert of a world star Dmitriy Khvorostovskiy. The premiere of the film My Heart is Astana by Yegor Konchalovsky was the event of special significance. The movie was jointly filmed by the Kazakh and Russian film makers. After the premiere, the director had a meeting with the audience.

According to Daniyar Mergaliyev, holding such large-scale international events contributes to strengthening friendly relations between the nations, boosting the research activity and developing the creative potential of each participant.
