A round-table conference entitled “The University and Government Bodies: Cooperation in Drawing up the Titles of Bachelor's and Master's Theses” was held at S. Toraighyrov PSU on October 3, 2013.

The round-table conference was initiated by the Agency for Civil Service Affairs of the Pavlodar Region, namely, by the head of the local office Maksut Uteshev, and organized by the Department of Management of the Faculty of Economics and Finance at S. Toraighyrov PSU.

Representatives of the local authorities and regional offices of government institutions were invited to take part in the round-table conference. It was attended by the members of Pavlodar Regional Maslikhat, Department of Internal Policy of the Pavlodar Region, Department of Labor of the Pavlodar Region, and Department of Finance of the Pavlodar region.

Topical issues of dual education were discussed during the round-table conference: the link between the University and business entities, subsequent employment of our graduates, the requirements of companies for their prospective employees, etc. One of the main problems raised during the discussion was cooperation with the state government bodies in the field of drawing up the titles of Bacherlor's and Master's theses.

According to the Rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor S. Omirbayev, working in close cooperation with the employers will ensure targeted training of specialists, development of practical skills, and improvement of the educational programs offered by the University. “Relying on the existing experience of the University in working with businesses and organizations of the region and strengthening this cooperation will allow to establish a full-fledged partnership between the educational and industrial institutions in the long-term perspective”, said Serik Omirbayev.
