A grand opening of the regional office of the National Academy of Sciences took place at PSU within the Days of Kazakhstan Science on June 13, 2013.

The Akim of Pavlodar region Yerlan Aryn noted that opening a representative office in our region is a recognition of the scientific and intellectual potential of scientists of Pavlodar region, as well as a great motivation for the development of science in priority areas, specified in the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev to the People of Kazakhstan: Kazakhstan-2050 Strategy: New Political Course of the Established State.

The Pavlodar office of NAS will unite the leading scientists of the region. In the near future, its members will conduct innovative research and development activities, prepare highly qualified scientific personnel, take part in various competitions for grant funding of scientific research announced by the Ministry of Education and Science and other ministries of the Republic of Kazakhstan, organizations and institutions.

The Rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Serik Omirbayev claimed that owing to the opening of NAS regional office, prominent scientists will be involved in the process of international cooperation in the field of research and innovation activities, organization of symposia and exhibitions and, above all, EXPO-2017. This will give a great impetus to the development of science not only in Pavlodar region, but also in the whole Republic, said Serik Omirbayev.

We are especially proud that the first president of the Academy Kanysh Satpayev was born here, in our region. He is a world-famous scientist, prominent public figure and statesman. Since the moment of its establishment, the Academy preserves the best traditions of Kazakhstan science: continuity, progressive growth, combination of classical scientific postulates and the latest innovative developments.
