A delegation from Toraighyrov University, led by Nurlan Medetov, Chairman of the Board – Rector, visited the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU).

During the visit, the delegation met with ASOIU Rector Rufat Azizov. The key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, which opens up new opportunities for long-term international cooperation.

The parties agreed to advance joint educational programs, foster academic mobility, share expertise in sustainable development, and expand collaborative scientific research.

Special focus was placed on joint research in areas such as chemical technology and petrochemicals, polymer, composite, and geopolymer construction materials, industrial ecology, and waste recycling.

An important highlight of the trip was a visit to the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ), operating under ASOIU, where the TOU delegation was welcomed by UFAZ Executive Director Vazeh Askarov.
 

The guests were introduced to the university's state-of-the-art laboratory and research infrastructure. Following the meeting, the parties outlined prospective areas of cooperation, including joint laboratory research projects and scientific internships for TOU faculty members and students.

International partnerships, collaborative research, and academic mobility remain key strategic directions for TOU, broadening horizons for both students and faculty.
