For the first time in Kazakhstan, international archival documents related to the history of the Golden Horde were presented. Within the framework of the scientific symposium, historians and researchers discussed new data and modern approaches to studying the medieval period.

Speaking at the plenary session, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, noted that studying the history of the Golden Horde contributes to a deeper understanding of the national historical consciousness. Furthermore, he emphasized that this period played a vital role in the development of cultural, trade, and civilizational ties across the Eurasian space.

The international symposium was attended by more than 300 scientists, experts, diplomats, and representatives from international organizations and the cultural community, spanning over 20 countries. The program featured a plenary session with the participation of UNESCO representatives and the academic community, alongside seven organized thematic sessions.
