As part of Science Decade, Toraighyrov University hosted a dialogue platform titled "Science & Business Connect," bringing together representatives from more than 20 partner enterprises.

The event was attended by representatives of the local executive body — the Department of Industrial and Innovative Development, partners from various enterprises, and university scientists.

In his Address to the people of Kazakhstan, "Just Kazakhstan: Law and Order, Economic Growth, Social Optimism," Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the need to strengthen the connection between universities and industry. He noted that it is essential to provide impetus to sectoral innovations and increase the potential of applied science in higher education institutions.

The Chairman of the Board – Rector of Toraighyrov University, Nurlan Medetov, outlined the university's capabilities and stated: "We are always open to establishing partnerships with enterprises. For science to have a positive impact on production and entrepreneurship, we must join forces. I want to reiterate that we are focused on strengthening relationships with our existing partners and enhancing the potential of our region."

Ruslan Sapinov, Associate Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Standardization, PhD, shared his insights: — We have expertise in the recycling of ABS plastic, HDPE, and LDPE waste. We are working on developing various composites based on these materials. Furthermore, we have established successful cooperation with the Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery (POCR) and Incom Company regarding the development of technical documentation and equipment repair. Overall, we have the capacity to perform up to 80% of applied work in this field. Our experience shows that joint projects in recycling and composite material development allow us to solve specific production tasks and have a positive impact on the development of domestic engineering potential.

During the meeting, enterprise representatives raised their pressing issues and expressed readiness for close and consistent cooperation with the university. As a result of the event, university scientists will now work purposefully on the technological tasks and specific requirements provided by these enterprises.
