Toraighyrov University has launched a 40-hour professional development course titled "Urbanism and Urban Development." The program is designed for specialists from departments and divisions operating in the fields of construction, architecture, and urban development.
Urbanism plays a key role in shaping sustainable and comfortable urban spaces. It contributes to the economic and social development of cities, improves the quality of life for the population, promotes the rational use of resources, and creates a safe urban environment. Modern architects and urban planners take the needs of residents into account and actively collaborate with city structures when developing projects.
The goal of the course is to reveal the role of landscape architecture and green infrastructure in forming a sustainable urban environment, to develop a comprehensive understanding of modern urbanism as a system for city development, and to examine the interconnection between spatial, social, economic, and administrative processes. Participants will be introduced to the principles of modern urban mobility, the design of streets as human-oriented public spaces, and approaches to sustainable and inclusive urban development. Particular attention will be paid to the methodology of integrated pre-project analysis as the foundation for well-grounded urban planning decisions.
