Faculty members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Standardization at Toraighyrov University completed professional development courses within the framework of additional professional education at the Moscow State Technological University “Stankin”.
Five representatives of the department’s academic staff took part in the training, including Zhanara Mussina, Dinara Iskakova, Ruslan Sapinov, Andrey Tkachuk, and Sergey Miller. The courses focused on programming computer numerical control (CNC) machines using Siemens Sinumerik and Heidenhain systems.
The professional development program was organized with the support of Eurasian Mechanical Plant LLP, represented by Director I.G. Atapin and Executive Director S.M. Nurkimbayev. Upon successful accomplishment of the training, all participants received certificates of professional development.
As part of the educational program, the participants also visited the technological testing ground of the Engineering Center at MSTU “Stankin ” and met with heads of specialized departments in the field of Mechanical Engineering. During the meetings, prospects for cooperation were discussed, as well as issues related to the development of joint educational programs for bachelor’s degrees and additional professional education for Toraighyrov University faculty members.
The expertise and hands-on experience gained through the training hold strategic significance for Toraighyrov University. Enhancing faculty competencies in programming modern CNC systems will allow the university to update the content of its educational programs, bringing them closer to real industrial requirements and modern technological standards.
In addition, the integration of advanced practices from MSTU “Stankin” into the educational process will contribute to improving the quality of training for mechanical engineering students, developing practice-oriented learning, and strengthening the university’s ties with industrial partners.
