On the International Anti-Corruption Day, a seminar-training for young anti-corruption volunteers was held at Toraighyrov University.

 

 

The event was organized by the Asyl Zaman Public Foundation in cooperation with the University’s Compliance Service. The Asyl Zaman Foundation is implementing a project aimed at fostering an anti-corruption culture and increasing civic engagement among young people. The main objective of the seminar was to develop practical anti-corruption prevention skills among young Kazakhstanis, strengthen the values of integrity and transparency, and expand public participation in promoting the principles of good governance.

 

 

Students of Toraighyrov University who are interested in making a personal contribution to building a fair and open society took part in the training. The program included interactive sessions featuring the analysis of real-life cases, discussions on current anti-corruption issues, an introduction to public oversight mechanisms, and an overview of digital tools that enhance the transparency of public services.

 

 

The keynote speaker of the event was Gulnara Isenova, a certified specialist in implementing the Anti-Bribery Management System ISO 37001:2016. In her speech, she emphasized the important role of volunteers in fostering zero tolerance for corruption through educational activities, social initiatives, and engagement with the public.

 

 

As a result of the seminar, participants received practical recommendations and tools that they can apply in their future social and volunteer activities. The event became an important step toward expanding the network of anti-corruption volunteers and strengthening cooperation between civil society and government institutions.
