A republican scientific-practical conference titled «Northern Borders of Kazakhstan: Theory and Practice of Border Security», dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the NSC Border Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Pavlodar Region was held аt Toraighyrov University.
University scholars and students, officers, representatives of government agencies, and regional intellectuals took part in the conference. The purpose of the event was to discuss topical issues relating to ensuring the country’s border security, strengthening cooperation between the scientific community and relevant agencies, as well as studying the history, current achievements and promising areas of development of the border service.
Toraighyrov University’s Pro-Rector for Research work and Commercialization of Studies, Nurlan Erzhanov, emphasized the key aspects of border security, the importance of state sovereignty and territorial integrity. He noted that the university systematically develops cooperation with the region’s law enforcement structures, conducts scientific research in the field of national and public security, moreover he mentioned that TOU is implementing educational programs aimed at training new specialists.
In addition, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of History of Kazakhstan Madi Rakhimov, reviewed the historical aspect by analyzing the precautions taken to strengthen Kazakh statehood during the Dzungar invasion and demonstrating their relevance for modern security strategies. Meanwhile, Candidate of Historical Sciences and Professor Aigul Turlybekova summarized the session by revealing the role of historical heritage in preserving Kazakhstan’s territorial integrity and forming national identity.
At the end of the official part, letters of appreciation and various awards were presented to veterans and employees of the Border Service.
The conference served as an important platform for exchanging scientific and practical experience in the field of national security, and the issues raised will contribute to improving the border protection system and fostering patriotism among the younger generation.
