The ToU team won the third place, losing five minutes in installation speed to  KarSTU team, in the First Hackathon, which was held at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev.

 

The hackathon was dedicated to the field of automation and electrical engineering. Teams from leading technical universities of Kazakhstan demonstrated their knowledge and skills in working with real equipment. The event was held on the initiative of the "Central Asia Smart Projects" LLP company as part of the Year of Vocational Professions and was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of AUPET.

The main goal of the event is to promote the training of young specialists in the field of automation of energy systems in key areas - "ACEMS" and "SCADA".  The participants worked with real equipment: they had to connect the automatic control cabinet in 6 hours, and then configure the meter in the PAS program, draw a SCADA system in PCVue and transfer data through the AlfaBank program. 

Members of TOU team: students Vladimir Derkulsky, Islam Zakirzhanov, Bakytbek Zhumalin and Nauryzbek Serikov brought home the cup.
